The pros:

We are keeping the beige carpet. Not expensive ripping and hardwood floor.
The window looks much bigger with the new rod and curtain panels.
The old wood door matches the new wood furniture.

The white paint makes the room feel brighter.
The gray and beige modern rug brings together the beige (warm) carpet and the gray (cold) color scheme.

The cons:

New furniture, in all matching style. Even if each piece is not expensive, the whole package can be.
